What is CLAT 2022?

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2022
The eligibility criteria for CLAT 2022 exam is given below-
Nationality: Indian nationals/ NRI and NRI sponsored candidates can apply for the test. Foreign nationals need not apply for the CLAT exam.
Eligibility for UG courses
- Age limit: No upper age defined
- Qualifying exam: Applicants must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
- Percentage required: Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) are required in the qualifying exam.
- Note: Those appearing in class 12th can also apply.
Eligibility for PG courses
- Age limit: No upper age defined
- Qualifying exam: Applicants must have done LLB/5- years of Integrated LLB (Hons.) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Percentage required: Minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) are required in the qualifying exam.
- Note: Candidates must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination on the date of admission.
Note: Candidates who will be pursuing their Class 12th examination in March/April 2022 are also eligible for the CLAT 2022 Exam. At the time of admission, such candidates must provide proof of passing their Class 12th exam. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will be denied admission through the CLAT exam.

The CLAT 2022 will be held in offline mode, with 150 questions covering five subjects: English (Comprehension), General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. Scope and coverage of questions in various subject areas:
Current Affairs and General Knowledge: Instead of the direct questions that were asked earlier, this section would consist of passages. The passages would be 450 words long and derived from news, journals, and other sources. Questions would be posed in response to such passages. Candidates are advised not to skip the static portion entirely because such a question may cover it as well. Reading newspapers on a daily basis, particularly articles containing bills, judgments, or legal information, should aid in preparation for this section.

Legal Reasoning
This section will assess the candidate’s interest in law, research aptitude, and problem-solving abilities. Again, questions would be based on passages relating to facts or scenarios involving legal issues. The passage would contain certain rules and principles that would need to be identified and applied to the questions. Each passage would be about 450 words long.

Quantitative Aptitude

English:
The English section will test candidates’ English proficiency through comprehension passages. Students will be given passages of about 450 words each, which could be fiction/nonfiction, contemporary/historical, and so on. Admit Card for CLAT 2022
CLAT 2022 admit cards can only be downloaded from the CLAT’s official website, www.clat.ac.in. The hall ticket will most likely be available in the third week of April 2022. Result and Admission CLAT 2022
The CLAT 2022 test results will most likely be announced in the last week of May 2022. Candidates can view their results by going to the official website.
